Polyacrylamide (PAM) polymerized by acrylamide monomer, is a kind of water-soluble polymer material linear. Acrylamide monomer is very active. Under double bond and acylamino, it can conduct a series of chemical reactions. Using different technics, leading in different functional group, it can get different electric charge products, such as: anionic, cationic and nonionic, amphoin polyacrylamide. The product is white powder or granule. It is easily soluble in water, and almost insoluble in benzene, ether, ester, acetone, and other organic solvents. Product usage:
PAM application in water treatment industry includes raw water treatment, waste water treatment and industrial water treatment. In raw water treatment, PAM is used by cooperating with activated carbon. It can be used to purify and condenses the suspended particles in the water. In sewage treatment. PAM can be used in sludge dewatering. In industrial water treatment, PAM is mainly used as formula medicament. In raw water treatment, using organic flocculant acrylamide instead of inorganic flocculant, even without modification of settling basin, the water purification capacity can increase more than 20%.
