*The resin is 50% (mass fraction) solution in butyl acetate and absolute ethyl alcohol, the account for 85% and 15%°C.

Solubility
Aldehyde Resin is soluble in all common paint solvents but insoluble in water. Its solubility tolerance in alophatic solvents such as mineral spirit is limited. Such solutions tend to separate, particularly at temperatures below 15°C, but can be stabilized by addition of 2-5% of an aromatic solvent.

Compatibility
Aldehyde Resin compatible with many coatings raw materials including:
Alkyd resins

Phenolic resin
Vinyl Chloride copolymers
Phthalate Plasticizers
cellulose
Urea-formaldehyde resin
Acrylic resin
Melamine-formaldehyde resin
Cellulose acetobutyrate
epoxy
polyurethane
Polyamide resin
Petroleum resin
rosin
Chlorinated rubber

Application:
Aldehyde Resin’s excellent solubility and enable it to be used in many types of coating formulation.
It can be used to improve gloss, hardness, body, adhesion and yellowing resistance, depending on the coating’s intended application.
A very pale colour and good pigment wetting are two properties that make Aldehyde resin particularly suitable for producing all-purpose pigment preparations.
The low viscosity of its solutions enable high-pigment-content pastes to be produced.
Since it has good heat resistance, Aldehyde resin is also used for baking finishes, particularly since it does not cause any odours or discoloration of the resin.
Manufactures must carry out their own trials for developing products based on Aldehyde resin because the manufacture and use of such products are affected by a large number of factors(eg,compatibility of the components, storage stability),which we cannot cover exhaustively in our own trials.

Storage
Aldehyde resin has a shelf life of 2 years at temperatures below 30°C, for the time beyond this limit, it also can be used if examine again and conformance to requirements.
