PAM is a kind of organic polymer, white or light yellow powder, density is 1.3 with thickening, flocculation, shearing, reduction, etc, PAM valuable properties can be divided into three types: anionic, cation type, nonionic.

APAM with acrylamide were together before adding alkali hydrolysis process, by granulation, drying, grinding, the product appearance of small white granules or powder-like solid. Anionic PAM flocculants applied to the surface of positively charged particles in the slurry, and cationic compared to its high molecular weight, molecular stretching in the water with larger, so it has good properties of the particles of floc. Suspended solids can be effectively used for mineral separation settlement. Except for blast furnace, aluminum, paper and other waste water treatment, also used in treatment of a city under treatment.
